Toronto is the capital of Ontario and the largest city in Canada. Naturally there is a lot to see and do, people often forget that this is actually one of the bigger cities in all of North America with an urban population of over 2.5 million and the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) inhabiting over 5 million.

Toronto also has great access to Southern Ontario’s wine region as well as Niagara Falls. Day-trips a plenty, though lets remember that Canada is a big country. Most trips from Toronto will have to be overnight trips unless you are into camping or small towns.

One of the most multi-cultural cities in the world Toronto boasts a ever changing food scene with new places popping up every week. The very best food is usually found in the cities within the city, like China Town or Little Portugal but there are tons of good mainstream places too – just some lines to deal with. This city is full of hype so when the next best place is discovered, it won’t be easy to get a table.

You can also take in any number of sporting events in the city – though if you want to watch NHL hockey we recommend doing so in any other city but Toronto… for various reasons.

Toronto is also home to a pretty big beer scene. Some of Canada’s biggest brewers and micro-brewers call this city home. A brewery tour should definitely be on your to do list.
